Our commitment
EKO Commercial wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and by most accessibility laws worldwide.
We do not use an accessibility "overlay" or widget. Accessibility is built into the pages themselves.
What we have done
- The site was audited against WCAG 2.2 AA with automated tools (axe-core and Google Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks on every page type and interactive state (menus, search, product galleries, filters, comparison tables, cart and forms), at desktop and mobile sizes and at 320-pixel width.
- Every page has a single, descriptive main heading and a logical heading order; images carry text alternatives; colour contrast meets the 4.5:1 minimum; every control can be operated with a keyboard and shows a visible focus indicator; motion respects the "reduce motion" setting; controls are at least 24 pixels in size.
- Forms label every field, announce errors, and explain what personal details are collected and why before you submit.
- The cookie banner can be operated entirely by keyboard, and the page behind it is locked until you make a choice so focus cannot get lost.
Known limitations
We know about the following areas that are not yet fully accessible and are working to fix them:
- Product photos: some product images do not yet have a written description of their own; where one is missing, the product name is announced instead.
- Third-party content: checkout, payment buttons (PayPal, Shop Pay, Google Pay), account pages and the cookie-consent tool are provided by Shopify or other vendors. We have asked those vendors to meet the same standard, but we do not control their code.
- Video: where a video plays with sound, captions or a text alternative may not yet be available.
- Older content: some pages and articles written before this review may not yet meet every guideline.
