We keep personal information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (Privacy Policy, section 9). In California's terms these are: identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet activity; coarse location from IP address; photos you send us; and professional information (job title, company). We do not collect sensitive personal information (government ID numbers, precise location, health, biometric or similar data) — please do not send it.
Sale or sharing
No. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with the service providers who run the store for us: Shopify (platform and checkout), our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, Google Pay), shipping carriers, Google Analytics (with your consent), Consentmo (cookie consent) and hCaptcha/Cloudflare (form security).
Your choices and rights
- Cookies: choose Accept or Reject in the banner; change it any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. A Global Privacy Control browser signal (an Opt-Out Preference Signal) is treated as Reject and as an opt-out of sale/sharing for that browser.
- Opt out of sale/sharing: we do not sell or share, but you can record the preference on Your Privacy Choices.
- Marketing email: unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
- Access, delete, correct, portability, appeal: submit a request online at our privacy request form, email support@ekonorthamerica.com, call 800-354-5605, or use the contact form. We respond within the time the law allows (45 days in California). We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
